The Restoration Planning Strategy provides a framework for planning and implementing compensatory restoration actions as part of the Housatonic River Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA) and Restoration process for Massachusetts. It contains information concerning:
  • the Natural Resource Damages (NRD) regulatory framework and process;
  • the roles and organization of the Housatonic River Natural Resource Trustees (Trustee Council) and the Massachusetts SubCouncil (MA SubCouncil);
  • site-specific natural resource injury and damages, and;
  • a description of the MA SubCouncil restoration planning strategy for Massachusetts.
