Public comments are invited on the DRAFT Restoration Project Evaluation Criteria document (RPEC) developed as part of a Natural Resource Restoration Plan for the Housatonic River watershed in Massachusetts.  The DRAFT RPEC is being developed by the Massachusetts Natural Resource Damages Trustee SubCouncil to foster the implementation of compensatory natural resource restoration projects within the watershed as part of a settlement with the General Electric Company related to PCB contamination in the Housatonic River.

The Draft RPEC will be available in December 2004, at http://www.ma-housatonicrestoration.org/library/ and at public libraries in the towns of Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox, Pittsfield, Sheffield, and Stockbridge shortly thereafter.

A public meeting at which this document will be discussed will be held:

 Thursday, December 16, 2004
5:30 – 7:30 PM
Pittsfield Athenaeum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

The deadline for public comments is three weeks following the release of the DRAFT RPEC.
